What we are looking for: WINMAR® Property Restoration Specialists - London is seeking a trained and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter position is responsible for conducting duties on the rebuild portions of our jobs for both commercial and residential properties The Carpenter works under the general direction of the Project Manager to plan and complete the assignments of a project in order to meet the timeline goals. Carpenters are responsible for performing varying tasks from drywall, to installing finishing items such as baseboards, casing or doors. General Responsibilities: Demonstrates skill in the safe operation of shop tools. Practices good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace. Adheres to company policy and standards at customer sites. Report to Project Manager on progress of job to meet timeline goals. Knowledge of basic shop mathematics to calculate metric conversions and materials needed for jobs. Job Duties:
  • Will demonstrate skills in the safe operation of hand and power tools, to include (but not limited to) temporary generators, ladders, table saws, routers and sanding equipment
  • Erecting and disassembly of scaffolding
  • Assists with demolition and debris disposal
  • Experienced in preparing material take-offs and reading blueprints
  • Set up and take down of poly containment and drop sheets to accommodate work
  • Knowledgeable in building code and construction math
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in installation of insulation and vapour barrier
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in wood and steel stud framing application
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in finish carpentry skills including cutting and installing wood framing, trim, baseboard, casing, doors, frames and sheathing
  • Secure exterior building materials (roofing and siding) when required
  • Build, erect and secure temporary and permanent partitions using a variety of building materials
  • Construct and secure temporary and permanent partitions
  • Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
  • Comply with all WINMAR® policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person
  • This role could be required to act as a “lead” periodically as designated by their manager
  • Attend all WINMAR® sponsored training courses
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ experience in field
  • Working towards their journeyman carpenter certification is an asset
  • Knowledgeable in the use and application of tools and materials for job completion
  • Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per WINMAR®’s vehicle policy
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience
  • Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
  • Periodic travel may be required
  • Criminal Record Check
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
  • Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces

What we are looking for: WINMAR® Property Restoration Specialists - London is seeking an experienced Cleaner for commercial/residential cleaning duties. Must be an outgoing, personable individual with excellent customers service skills. Detail oriented with the ability to follow instructions and ensure tasks are being completed correctly and efficiently. Cleans and prepares job sites, garbage and debris removal, and removal of hazardous materials. Ability to work independently when required. Position Overview: The Cleaning Technician has a basic understanding of restoration techniques used in cleaning content and structures is preferred. Duties will include structural cleaning as well as content packing, listing, photographing, manipulation and restorative cleaning; however will lend assistance to other divisions in (minor) demolition, debris disposal, poly and prep containment set up and removal. Job Duties:
  • Provide sound cleaning practices at customer job sites and in the warehouse for content processing, including but not limited to packing, listing, photographing, manipulating, and transporting content when necessary
  • Process all content according to industry standards and regardless of their condition ensuring they are returned to the customer or disposed of as directed by the Project Manager
  • Provide sound cleaning practices at customer job sites for structures, including but not limited to poly and prep set up and take down, cleaning ceiling, walls, doors, baseboard, casing, countertops, fixtures, floors and appliances as required
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding when required
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Familiarity with chemical products, including use, disposal and Safety Data Sheets application
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines

What we are looking for: WINMAR® Property Restoration Specialists - London is seeking Estimator/Project Manager. This position is full time and you will be required to respond to emergencies on a 24 hour on call basis on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish scope and standards of construction projects
  • Estimate equipment, manpower, cost of project, and materials required to accomplish each project using industry approved software (i.e. Xactimate)
  • Document management of  the job costs-employees materials and trades, bill the job – collect receivables outstanding

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in construction estimation and project management
  • Strong knowledge of construction, materials, methods and codes
  • Knowledge of laws and ordinances regulating building construction
  • Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience
  • IICRC certification in Fire and Smoke, Odour Control and/or Water Damage preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per WINMAR®’s vehicle policy
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Computer and/or tablet/iPad experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Google Suite and industry approved software (i.e. Xactimate)
  • Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested

Must be an outgoing, personable individual with excellent customers service skills. Detail oriented with the ability to follow instructions and ensure tasks are being completed correctly and efficiently. Position Overview: The General Labourer position can include (but is not limited to) restoration activities including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack out and storage and other specialized cleaning both on site and in the warehouse. Job Duties:
  • Perform activities including light repairs, demolition and general cleaning as needed
  • Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or other production materials/instructions
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may, or are affecting completion of job to the appropriate person
  • Perform Water / Flood and Contents duties as required
  • Participate as directed in the following activities:
    • Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
    • Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
    • Constructing polyethylene enclosures
    • Removing and disposing of debris
    • Maintaining equipment
  • Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
